Frequently asked questions.
Do I need a referral to see a practitioner at Involve Health Hub?
You do not require a referral to access any services at Involve Health Hub, however if you decide to seek a referral, you may be eligible for rebated or fully funded services. Read our Referral and Funding section for more information.
How long does a session take?
This depends on the health service you require. Psychology and Occupational Therapy sessions last for 50 minutes face to face, with a further 10 minutes allocated for preparation and finalising notes. Our friendly client relations team will be able to help advise what you might need.
Are sessions confidential?
All information disclosed to your health care at Involve Health Hub is held in strict confidence. All files are kept securely, and are maintained under relevant health industry ethics and laws.
There are some circumstances where your Involve Health Hub practitioner may be required to disclose information about your health care to others. These circumstances may include:
1. If your file is subpoenaed by a court;
2. If the failure to disclose information could place you or another person at serious and imminent risk;
3. If your prior approval has been obtained to provide reports or discuss material with another person.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding your confidentiality, please do not hesitate to discuss these with either our client relations team or your Involve Health Hub practitioner.

How do I make an appointment?
Contact our client relations team on (07) 3482 3466, complete our online booking form, or email us at admin@involvehealthhub.com
What is your cancellation policy?
When your appointment is booked, this time is confirmed as your appointment time and is reserved for you. Late cancellations of appointments impact three people:
The client, who is delaying their treatment;
The practitioner, who has prepared for the appointment; and
Another client, who is on the waiting list for an appointment
We implement the following cancellation policy, in order to allow us to ensure our practitioners are compensated adequately for their time, and to increase the likeliness that we are able to offer available appointment times to someone else who is waiting for an appointment.
We require 48 hours notice to reschedule or cancel a session without incurring any fees. If your appointment is cancelled or rescheduled within 48 hours of the appointment time, you will incur a cancellation fee of 50% of the session fee. If you cancel your appointment within 24 hours of the appointment time or you do not attend your appointment, you will incur a cancellation fee of 100% of the session fee. This policy is at the discretion of practitioners to waive in unforeseeable circumstances.
If we are able to fill your cancelled appointment time with another client, you are not charged a cancellation fee.
As a courtesy, we send SMS reminders 72 hours before appointments. This allows you a full 24 hours from receiving the SMS reminder to let us know if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, without incurring any fees.
We appreciate that at times, you may be unable to keep an appointment due to sudden illness or unexpected emergency. If this occurs, please contact us as soon as possible to explain the situation. You can call our office any time, even after hours or on weekends, and leave us a message.
